About Us
The Nashoba Valley Ski Club (NVSC) is a member of the Eastern Massachusetts Buddy Werner
League (EMBWL) and operates under its rules and bylaws. The
membership of EMBWL also includes Bradford (Andover),
Bogastow (formerly Dover-Sherborn),
Prospect Hill
(Waltham), and Ski
Ward.
The NVSC goal is to improve the ski racing skills of our members.
While competition is encouraged, the main emphasis is on fun. NVSC is a volunteer run ski
club. With that in mind, all parents/guardians will be required to work at two or more races that
their racer participates in. No experience is necessary and it’s a great way to see how the races
are run.
Practices are on Thursday evenings at Nashoba
Valley ski area in Westford. Practices run from 6:30 to
8:30PM except for the 8 and under group (J6) that finishes at
8PM. Discount tickets are available for purchase -
download the latest Survival
Guide for details.
Race registration begins at 8AM on Sundays, with races beginning
at 9AM. The host mountain for the races varies each
week. Place ribbons are given to the top ten finishers in
each group at every race and results are posted on this
website. All 8 and under participants receive either a
place or participant ribbon at each race.
NVSC holds registration in
October with all pertaining information posted on this site.
Because we are a large group, all correspondence regarding
schedules and announcements are via the website and/or email.
We look forward to seeing you
all this year!
