The Nashoba Valley Ski Club (NVSC) is an alpine ski development and racing program for skiers aged 5 - 18. NVSC is a member of the Eastern Massachusetts Buddy Werner League (EMBWL) which also includes the Bradford, Bogastow, Prospect Hill, and Ski Ward ski teams.
Our mission is to develop the skills of our young racers and instill a lifelong passion for the sport of skiing. While the development of skills and competition is encouraged, the main emphasis is on a fun, safe, and positive experience for all. We practice Thursday evenings at Nashoba Valley Ski Area in Westford with most races taking place Sunday mornings at Nashoba and other league-member ski areas.
No prior race experience is required; however, all team members must be able to ride the ski lifts unassisted and ski all terrain at Nashoba Valley Ski Area. NVSC is a learn-to-race program, not a learn-to-ski program.
We are a non-profit, parent run club that functions independently from the operations of the Nashoba Valley Ski Area. All parents/guardians are required to contribute to the running of the team by volunteering at two or more events during the season, assisting with running races, practices and other activities. No experience is necessary and it's a lot of fun and a great way to experience the program from the inside!
